Marriage Rally
Marriage Rally -- March 3, 11:00am.
Location: Halifax Mall at the State Capitol in Raleigh.
Return America is sponsoring a statewide rally open to the public at the State Capitol in Raleigh in the shadow of the Legislative Office Building. Come out and show your support for traditional marriage! Speak to your legislators and tell them how important a Marriage Protection Amendment is to North Carolina. Ask them to vote for the amendment. Bring busloads of your church members to Raleigh for the Marriage Rally, which starts at 11:00 am. David Barton of Wallbuilders and David Gibbs III of the Christian Law Association will be the featured Rally speakers. You will have a chance to meet and hear from the members of the General Assembly who sponsor the bill to get a Marriage Protection Amendment on the ballot.
Return America—Visit their website for information about the Marriage Rally. Call Return America at (336) 785-0529 to report how many people your group is bringing to the Rally. Return America has published flyers (versions 1 and version 2) for publicizing the Rally.
Buses—Bus parking information for those traveling to the Rally by bus is found on Return America's website.
Cars—Public Parking Garages in downtown Raleigh where you can park. Plan to arrive early!
Free bus service—Circulator Bus Line just opened by Raleigh and is free. Park on the perimeter of downtown and ride the bus to within a few blocks of the Rally.
Park and Ride—Called2Action is making two locations available to you. These areas will begin shuttling people around 9:15am. The buses will return downtown after the rally to shuttle you back to your car. They will be clearly marked and will pick-up in the same location where they drop you off for the rally:
Lunch—Please plan to bring your own lunch for the event, as there are not enough public accommodations for such a large crowd. Churches who are bringing buses to the Rally might want to consider providing box lunches for their participants.
